There is more that connects us than what separates us

Why I’m on Couchsurfing


I moved back to Berlin in August 2011. Originally I am from Hamburg but also lived in Madrid (Spain), Brighton (UK) and San Jose (USA). I know how it is like to be in a foreign city and how much more fun it is to have some body to help you to find the interesting places instaed of running with the crowd. I like cs because it demonstrates international spirit and offers a way to overcome national bounderies.


I hosted and was hosted several times. And in June 2012 I initiated an international photo project: 365-international which breathes the cs spirit.

80 photographers from 50 countries take a photo each day for 365 days and add the title headline of a national paper.

Books: from Kurt Tucholsky, Siegfreid Lenz, Jonathan Carroll, Jjasper FFord, Franz Kafka... But basicaly I read everything I can get hold of and there hasn´t been a single moment during the past 25 years when I wasn´t at least reading one book
