CURRENT MISSION Just finished my Master's Degree in Biology, and now it's time to go explore Eastern Europe! ABOUT ME I'm a 26 year old guy named Mads. I'm a nice guy, always smiling! I have been studying Biology (mainly marine biology) and I am really interested in exploring and conserving our oceans. I really like to travel, even though I've not been visiting that many countries using couchsurfing yet. I'm always ready for new experiences, and I dream of one day having visited every single part of the world, so when the time comes, I'll look back on my life with no regrets! I often bring my partner-in-crime along, when I decide to go out and about. Here's a link to her facebook (https://www.facebook.com/caitlin.frankfish?hc_ref=SEARCH&fref=nf).

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I'm really happy to meet locals wherever I go, and it makes the journey so much more interesting, when you familiarize yourself with the country or region, through someone who knows the culture and where to go. I also like to offer others a place to stay and come to visit me, but the current home situation unfortunately does not allow for it :(
Music, Movies, and Books
Music artists I really like: - Alt-J - Coldplay - Blackmill - Jose Gonzalez - C2C - Eminem - The National - Bon Iver - Ben Howard - Daft Punk - Band of Horses - MGMT - Justice - Lifehouse - M83 - Blaue Blume Movies: - There are sooooo many! Books: My ultimate favourite book is "Shantaram" by Gregory David Roberts. It is an extreme life history of a criminal escaping prison and finding a new way of continued living on the edge in India. Can definitely recommend!
One Amazing Thing I've Done
- Kayaking alongside a group of beluga whales in Svalbard! Amazing! - Climbing to Kala Patthar (5545 m) with a great view of Mt. Everest. - Volunteering at Matang Wildlife Center in Sarawak, Borneo. I helped out with the orangutans, sun bears, and a bunch of different rare and endangered animals.
Teach, Learn, Share
I have surfed in 3 countries Bosnia and Herzegovina: Alf Saraj (Sarajevo, June 2017) Italy: Fabio Borio (Torino, November 2015) Guido Bertelli (Salo, November 2015) Lorenzo Marino (Gorizia, November 2015) Togo: Jeremies Pimizi (Lomé, February 2016) I have hosted people from 2 countries Lithuania: Vidmantas Pavilionis (Kaunas, December 2015) Russia: Elena Briditskaya (Moscow, December 2015)
What I Can Share With Hosts
I can contribute with cooking, cleaning, sharing, and caring. I'll be social if you'd like, and I'll stay to myself if you'd rather want that. I am open for experiences and ready to include my host on couchsurfing.
