ABOUT ME

I graduated from university in 2013, and moved to Tuscany, Italy to work as an au pair for a family of 3 boys. After that, I travelled through Eastern Europe, and then returned home to the States. Now, I am getting ready to teach English and science in Thailand.

I am easy-going and get along with most everyone. I'm excited to try new things and to experience the world around me. I love cooking, adventures, and being outdoors. I studied English and Biology, so I am always excited to talk about favorite books and all things nature. I can't wait to meet and hang out with cool, new people!

A week in Istanbul, a community house in Thessaloniki, and some meet ups in various cities.

Intereses

I am not happy unless I'm up and going somewhere or doing something. However, I do love to read in my down time. I am also a big science nerd--I especially love birds. I like learning how to do things with my hands, like how to cook a new dish or how to build something from scratch. When travelling, I always enjoy admiring architecture and wandering the streets in search of interesting sights.

Música, películas y libros

I love all kinds of books, but Southern American literature holds a special place in my heart--Faulkner, Welty, O'Connor, Wright, and several not-so-famous ones.
As for music, bluegrass and folk are my go-tos.

I've seen Stromboli erupt; watched sunsets on the Danube, ridden camels in the Sahara, and potty trained a 3 year old. Life is full of adventure.

Enseña, aprende, comparte

I can teach you the first 18 lines of the Canterbury Tales in Old English and lots of silly American drinking games. Often these go well hand in hand. Also, more practically, I can tell you all kinds of cool science-y facts and tell you why your plants aren't growing quite right or what kind of bird is singing outside.
