About Me

learn to be more present; fully connecting with each passing moment, because there will never be another one just like it again

I believe in making the most out of life, so I tend to stay very active; constantly looking for new ways to enjoy my surroundings and new things to learn.I appreciate the little things in discovering a new song, a day with awesome weather, a great meal, finding a some cool street art or an interesting area to explore.

Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind.

You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose. You're on your own. And you know what you know. And YOU are the one who'll decide where to go...

- Dr. Seuss

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've stayed with some wonderful hosts in Europe, and hung out with travelers who were visiting the LA area to show them around. I've also met up with couchsurfers at festivals and other events in the US and South America, and have recently had a few opportunities to host travelers, and will continue to host whenever I get the chance. It has been a great way to meet other fun, like-minded people, and to experience places in much more meaningful ways than would ever be possible otherwise. I'm so glad this community exists and can't wait to meet more people here!

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a sucker for good music and am always on the lookout for new (to me) bands. Here are some that are currently on my favorites list:

Andrew Bird, Arcade Fire, Atmosphere, Badly Drawn Boy, Band of Horses, Blind Pilot, Blitzen Trapper, Bon Iver, the Builders & The Butchers, Cold War Kids, Crystal Fighters, the Decemberists, Delta Spirit, Deer Tick, Dispatch, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, Ghostland Observatory, Jenny Lewis, Local Natives, Mumford & Sons, the National, the New Pornographers, Neutral Milk Hotel, Okkervil River, Pink, Pink Floyd, Portugal. the Man, Radiohead, Ratatat, the Rolling Stones, Sage Francis, the Shins, Sublime, Tori Amos, TV on the Radio, White Rabbits, the White Stripes, Wilco, Yeasayer...any other suggestions?

I also love a good movie or a good book, but don't really have specific just depends on my mood.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Never having been outside of North America, at the age of 26, I quit my full-time job and decided to take my freelance projects on the road so that I could get to know more of the world. Now, three years later, I'm addicted to this lifestyle and am doing and seeing amazing things and meeting great people every day!
