Settle in Chengdu
After 13 years on Montparnasse we moved to Montmartre in March last year! The bad news is that our new apartment is very small and we obviously can't host as often and as many people as before.
Why travel? Well... çæçå°æ¹æ²¡æé£æ¯:-)
Caveat: this is not my personal philosophy and there are many things on this website I disagree with. But I couldn't resist adding this as guest etiquette:
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I think we've hosted more than 200 people since 2005. We've stayed with almost 50 hosts. Beautiful!
I actually started doing this back in the 1980s with my snail mail penpals - imagine organizing it all without the internet and mobile phones!Overall my experience has been very positive -otherwise I guess I'd quit!

Music, Movies, and Books
This could be endless and then you wouldn't read it, so here's just 3 and then I'll change them from time to time:
Movies: Asghar Farhadi, "Le passé"
Music: Velvet Underground, "Venus in Furs"
Books: Yasmina Reza, "Heureux les heureux"
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I'm not indifferent or cynical but it's difficult to decide what to call "amazing" so I'll leave this blank for now:-)
Teach, Learn, Share
I teach for a living so I try not to "play the teacher" in my private life. I love learning but people who are too didactic bore me. We can learn from each other without lecturing each other.
