About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Exposure to new ideas, people, and experiences

ABOUT ME

I'm a fairly laid back person (beach town roots), who enjoys good conversation and new experiences. You have a food I've never had? Count me in. Same for sports, dances, sights, music...I love to discover new loves.

PHILOSOPHY

"Ah! this morning! You have lived since then..."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have connected with some local CSers, and have hosted my share of people when I lived in Boston and Long Beach. I have really enjoyed hosting different people, and hope to take more advantage of CS when I travel.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had a number of wonderful people visit me, and I have already benefited from friendly hosts and available couches around the world!

Music, Movies, and Books

Favorite books? Some of my most revisited include Fugitive Pieces, The Cosmic Trilogy, Kafka on the Shore, The History of God (as told by Himself), Cat's Cradle, The Master and Margarita. Movies? I love some cinematic masterpieces, but save some space for some pretty crappy movies. Music? It is easier to say what I hate: death metal. Every other genre has something I like...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've seen many amazing things, but the first to pop in my head was watching a hummingbird drink from a garden hose while I watered my research plants. One of my favorite memories...

Teach, Learn, Share

I was trained in biology, but have moved into science education now. I would love to gather perspectives on both environmental and educational issues that overlap or contrast with US experiences.

Countries I’ve Visited

Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Colombia, Costa Rica, England, France, French Polynesia, Ghana, Greece, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Monaco, Panama, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Spain, Thailand, Turkey, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In
