Hi, I'm Asif. I'm back in Vancouver after living in Torino, Italy for several years studying Photography. (https://asifhmalik.wixsite.com/fotografia) I'm excited to get to know the new Vancouver CS community and host events here again.

One my passions outside photography is music and in Torino I was the trumpet player in an Italian "pop-soul" band called Denerada. I'm also a big foodie and love cooking together with both my CS guests and hosts.

I definitely hosted a lot more people than I have surfed with, but my experiences with my hosts while I was Couchsurfing were some of my most memorable travel experiences. A wonderful couple took me and my friend Iris salmon fishing in a small town at the end of Alaska, I explored Cinque Terre, the winding maze of Genoa centro with Valentina and I had my first Italian-language only weekend with Teresa, her dad and brother as we cooked vegan food in her beautiful home in Vicenza.

I'm lucky to have a few days after my sister's wedding in the UK to explore and hopefully I'll be able to share some more fun adventures with some new CS friends-for-life!
