Hi! I’m Manuel :)) I am Italian and 24 years old, been traveling the world for several years but now based In the beautiful Siargao Island in the Philippines. I truly love life and connecting with people. For me, travel is about sharing moments, good food, conversations, nature, surf sessions, and simple everyday life with locals. I’m an active person and love surfing, hiking, and staying healthy. I’m also very tidy, respectful, and easy to live with. I enjoy telling stories, sharing meals, and helping out whenever I can. Generosity and good energy are important to me. I’ve traveled a lot over the years: I’ve been all around Europe, then lived 1.5 years in Central America (Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Mexico, and Honduras), spent one year in Australia, and now I live permanently in the Philippines. I currently own and manage three villa Airbnbs in Siargao Island, so I’m familiar with hosting and taking care of homes. Even though I can easily book my own place when I travel, I choose Couchsurfing because I genuinely love meeting local people, exchanging cultures, and creating real connections beyond tourism.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing, for me, is about sharing life. I enjoy meeting open-minded people, learning from different cultures, and creating meaningful connections wherever I go. I’m here to exchange experiences, good energy, conversations, and respect, not just a place to sleep.

One Amazing Thing I've Done
One of the most unforgettable experiences of my life was hiking for three days through the Guatemalan jungle, deep in the Petén region, searching for hidden Mayan ruins. We walked for hours each day through dense jungle, crossing rivers, sleeping in simple camps, surrounded by nature, insects, and complete silence. No phone signal, no comfort just the forest, the path, and the excitement of not knowing exactly what we would find. When we finally reached the ruins, covered by jungle and history, it felt surreal , like stepping back in time. That experience taught me patience, humility, and how powerful nature and ancient cultures really are. It’s one of those journeys that stays with you forever.

What I Can Share With Hosts
As someone who hosts guests regularly in my own villas, I understand what it means to take care of a home and respect house rules. I’m clean, reliable, and grateful. I’m happy to share meals, good conversations, and help wherever needed.
