Hello! My name is Marcello, I am from Torino, Italy, but at the moment I live in Lyon, France. I'm doing my Erasmus in Anthropolgy and Sociology and I'll be here till the end of may. I've lived also in Arad, Romania, for one year, as part the EVS (European Voluntary Service).

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

Who wouldn't say that Couchsurfing is an amazing way to enter the cultures of the countries we are traveling? Who wouldn't say that it's one of the best opportunities to meet local people, to spend time with them, talking and discovering together new things? Who wouldn't say that it is a great possibility to grow up together and breaking down the barriers and stereotypes among us? It's the perfect way not to be simple tourists and to go deeper in the traditions, behaviours and cultures of the different parts of the world that we are discovering. In the end, Couchsurfing is the great opportunity for everybody of us to have a wonderful and interesting experience abroad.

My Interests

Of course I like traveling and discovering new people. I'm really interested in learning always something new about and from the other, and traveling gives me the possibility to meet a great and big variety of people, with different customs, traditions and ways of thinking. I like art, every kind of art, from literature, to music, to painting etc. and I would be really glad to talk with you about this, also dicovering our countries' arts. I like reading. I couldn't say what is my favourite type of reading, it depends on the moment and the mood, but I am really keen on literature and on philosophy. I like sports: I really love swimming (especially in the sea). That's why I am also a lifeguard and a teacher of swimming. I like music, both listening and playing. I play the piano and I would like to learn how to play the guitar. I like cooking, and meeting you could be a great opportuity to learn your typical dishes and, of course, make you try a plate of pasta cooked by a real italian :) I'm glad to share with you my interests and I look forward to spend time with you, talking, discovering and having fun.
