FOOD IS NOT INCLUDED DURING YOUR STAY AT MY PLACE.
My home is not a “all inclusive” stay so you should be responsible for your own food. There’s a supermarket on the corner of my street where you can buy your stuff. Of course we can always invite you for a meal or two but you must have COMMON SENSE. You’re already staying, having Wi-Fi, sleeping and taking showers for free. Therefore be considerate 😉
I’m Marcio. I live in Rio de Janeiro and am an English teacher/ translator but I’m also a barber/ hairdresser/ make-up artist in my free time. So if you want to I can make you look good 😉
This is exactly where I live:
My previous profile with 133 references has been deleted due to payment issues but now I’m back to start over 😉
I ONLY HOST TRAVELERS WITH AT LEAST 3 POSITIVE REFERENCES. IF YOURE A NEWBIE YOU SHOULD ATTEND MEETINGS AND HANGOUT WITH LOCALS IN ORDER TO GET YOUR FIRST REFERENCES 😜
ALSO, I WOULD LIKE TO POINT OUT THAT I LIVE IN THE NORTHERN SECTION OF RIO AND THEREFORE IT IS NOT A TOURISTY AREA 😉 IF YOU ARE OKAY WITH THAT YOU ARE MORE THAN WELCOME TO CHECK OUT MY PLACE.
LAST BUT NOT LEAST, PLEASE LEAVE YOUR REFERENCE AS SOON AS YOU LEAVE MY PLACE. THE SAME WAY YOU’RE LOOKING FOR A CLEAN NICE PLACE TO SLEEP, YOUR HOST IS LOOKING FOR A NICE REFERENCE TO HOST OTHER TRAVELERS.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because I love to meet people with different perspectives from mine and see from their viewpoint. It made me deconstruct lots of stupid stereotypes média makes you believe are true.
Traveling. Eating. Cooking. Watching videos. Beaches. Socializing.
COUCHSURFING IS NOT TINDER. 😉
Music, Movies, and Books
Anything by Almodóvar, woody Allen sounds good. I also like some Netflix documentaries
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I’ve sailed a boat for 35 days without internet access.
Teach, Learn, Share
Since I’m a teacher I love teaching but it’s great to learn from different travelers about their culture and habits.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A nice and clean place to sleep at. Hot shower. Some laughs. Haircuts and happiness.
