About Me

I'm a frontend developer working in the IT field. Outside of work, I'm passionate about sailing and amateur radio (ham radio). These hobbies allow me to explore new horizons—both literally and figuratively!

I've hosted many travelers over the years and have made great connections through Couchsurfing. I've also surfed a few times myself, and each experience has left me with unique stories and friendships. I enjoy meeting people from different cultures, sharing ideas, and learning from each other's perspectives.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love meeting interesting people from around the world, and Couchsurfing gives me the chance to do just that. I can't always travel the world myself, so I bring the world to my home instead. Hosting travelers is a way for me to stay curious, open-minded, and connected to different cultures—without packing a suitcase.

Interests

I'm passionate about sailing – I love the feeling of freedom out on the water, navigating with the wind and learning to read nature's signs. When I'm not near the sea, I like to unwind by playing guitar, whether it's improvising something new or just strumming to relax.

Another big part of my life is ham radio. It's amazing to connect with people across the globe using just a radio signal and some technical know-how. Speaking of which – I'm also really into technology in general, especially when it comes to coding and creative tech projects.

Music, Movies, and Books

I really enjoy adventure and fantasy stories. Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings is a classic I love. I’m also a fan of Jules Verne—his books make me dream about exploring new worlds, whether by sea or in space.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hosting 17 people in my flat.
Spending 5 months of my life on sailboats on the ocean.

Teach, Learn, Share

One of the most rewarding things I’ve done is host 17 people in my flat. It was an incredible experience to meet so many different people from around the world and share stories and cultures.

Another unforgettable adventure was spending five months living on sailboats, exploring the open ocean. It taught me so much about life, the elements, and the freedom of being far from land.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love sharing experiences and funny stories from my travels. Whether it's a sailing adventure on the open sea or a random encounter with someone from a different culture, I always have a good story to tell. I also enjoy exchanging ideas about technology, hobbies like ham radio, and the joys of exploring new places.
