I grew up in Germany and then moved to the UK and studied Archaeology for a few years, before changing track and retraining as a paramedic. I love to travel, and am lucky that my job both lets me travel for work and gives me enough time off to have at least one decent adventure a year in my own time. I love animals, especially dogs, but sadly don't have space in my life for one of my own at the moment.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I often travel alone, I've found that organizing friends to travel abroad is a bit like herding cats, and love having a way to meet people in the places I visit.
Music, Movies, and Books
Recently I got introduced to the Terry Pratchett by a close friend, and I've been making it my mission to read through the entire Discworld series. Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit and the Silmarillion are my all time favorites, followed by Alan Quatermain and King Solomons Mines. Movies I'm a bit ambivalent about, and I've been told I'm as likely to talk to people, dissect, and make fun of a movie that I'm watching as I am to actually pay attention to it. For Music, I'll listen to almost anything. My music library tends to be reserved for me because there's bound to be something that comes on that people will think is weird after 2-3 songs. If you like Metal you're probably safer than most though.
One Amazing Thing I've Done
I once spent 3 months working as a Medical Volunteer in Nepal, I'm not sure many other things I've done really count as amazing.
