HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm new to couch surfing, learned about through friends with similar interests. I'm excited to learn more about this community and how I can get involved.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first and only experience was spring of 2008 when I traveled to Paris for a weeklong vacation. After spending my last night on a pub crawl and waking well after my return flight took off, I found out I had a "use it or lose it ticket" and needed to purchase a last minute one way to the states. Since all I was able to afford was a flight to Newark, NJ (three thousand miles away from home) I had to find a place to crash until my next pay date a week later. I ended up taking a bus to Boston and stayed on an old friends couch at Harvard University. It was the most random situation and I had an absolute blast!
