About Me

Current Mission: I'm taking September-October to travel through the North West US: hiking, camping, self development, connecting with new people, seeing new places, finding inspiration again.

I've spent the last 8 years living in Birmingham AL.
I built a Non- Profit Bike shop (RedemptiveCycles.com),
I started an annual tall bike joust event (TallBikeJoust.org)
I now paint murals for a living (MarcusFetch.com)

The past couple years I've been kind of on a self-help kick. Going to therapy, trying to understand myself better, heal from the wounds of my past, practice better self love and be healthier.
I've been trying to learn a lot about meditation, mindfulness, and any mental health thing I can apply to my life.
I'm currently trying to develop true acceptance of myself and the people around me,
living in the present moment, taking an interest in people again, and rediscovering a love for life.

Where am I going?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to meet new people from other walks of life, learn new cultures and perspectives.
It's nice to connect on CS with a local whenever I'm visiting a new city to learn about all the cool stuff to see and do.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: I draw to fiction novels, over the year i've been trying to read the famous classics, hemminway, jack london, vonnegut, tolestoy, etc. There are so many I have yet to read.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Drove a 15 passenger Van and Trailer full of kids bikes and a playground from Alabama down to an orphanage in Honduras and dropped it all off on Christmas eve and flew back. Took 2 weeks.

Teach, Learn, Share

I've song-written since I was a kid and I have a guitar and violin with me.
Social entrepreneurship and intentional community building.

I want to learn more about how I can be happy and healthier each day.
I want to learn different lifestyles and beliefs.
I want to learn how to turn my negatives into positives and become a better person.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can build/fix most things, rub your dogs belly, cook, make cocktails, listen to your life story, do the dishes, and wake up at sunrise to go hiking.

Countries I’ve Visited
