ABOUT ME

Melbourne born Greek gal with a true passion for life - lived in Canada and Philippines and now in Sri Lanka the rest traveling this great planet. I live a fast-paced lifestyle and often can't keep up with myself, but I love it! Until recently, I have lived in Manila volunteering with an NGO focused on community nutrition programs and have only recently began a new adventure in Sri Lanka, also volunteering in nutrition.

I enjoy adventure, food, travel, photography and of course meeting people that have similar interests. I'm always up for anything and everything and ill travel far distances for it

One of my life goals is to do a TED talk about nutrition/public health in the developing world and I want to continue contributing positively to nutrition and global health. I love discussing health and demographics of other countries, especially how dietary patterns change when people migrate to new countries.

PHILOSOPHY

Don't think about things too much, cause if you do, you'll go crazy. Just do whatever it is you want to do and if it turns out bad, lesson learnt. But if it turns out great, well how awesome is that! Remember, that the mind is a powerful tool… and don't forget to be kind and humble :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couchsurfed in the US in 2013 and had some great experiences and learnt so much about the US through the locals I met along the way. Living in Manila, I was involved in the CSing community - attending events and festivities. Always keen to be more involved in the couch surfing community to meet like minded people and locals, cause its the people who you met who that make your experiences so much more enriching when traveling . I love sharing advice on different places to go, and enjoy speaking to people who are similar and take pride in sharing information about their home city

A range! Sometimes in the mood for Angus and Julia Stone or The Kooks … like to get my groove on to Beyonce and Justin Timberlake … and going back in time to the Beatles! Music festivals are one of my favourite pastimes - bringing people who love music and meeting new people together, with great live sounds..

I loved the Harry Potter series (never A Hobbit fan).. but also enjoy reading non-fiction. If I learn something valuable from it, i'll read it. Currently reading The Tipping Point and finished The Secret - the mind is a very powerful thing!

I enjoy mainly art house, foreign films and drama. Top movies include; City of God, The Pianist, El Secreto de sus ojos, The Brothers Bloom, Pour Elle, Jumanji... Also I like a good doco, Louis Theroux tells great stories

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Everyday my life is filled with great things, I believe thats because I choose it to be this way and I have a very positive attitude on life. Of course, in life you will encounter some shitty things you don't wish to relive, but its what you take out of the experience that's important…. Just to highlight some of the amazing things I have been involved in over my life… I once held a panda in China, met Heath Ledger in Melbourne, won an electric blanket for being the 1 millionth customer, was a 'last minute' addition to a street parade in the Philippines, was an extra in a Bollywood film in Mumbai and survived a 16 hour overnight train in India…

I believe I can do all of those things. I can teach you things I have learnt and what others have shared with me. I am passionate about nutrition and public health, so if that is a topic you also enjoy, we will get along very well. I am also open for being taught new things and sharing experiences about travel, different professions and how we can all work together regardless of our professional and cultural background
