About Me

I am rather calm, close to nature and to spirituality, On the other hand I am also active, I like sports and adrenaline activities. Meeting different cultures is why I'm on couchsurfing.

I came back from my jungle stay with Quechua tribe in Ecuador richer with a lot of unique experiences. My next travel is to Japan. And because I feel enchanted by their culture and politeness, japanese travelers are the most welcome. But enyone is welcome who feel any desire to spare some time together.

Computers are my work. From the programmer I still am, I'm slowly turning into a sci-fi & fantasy story writer. Behold my future :-) The genre of my stories is going to be ecological sci-fi.

As a freelancer I can make a time for you almost anytime. It's perfectly fine if you want to meet just shortly and follow your own program most of the time. You didn't come to entertain me. But I love to hear your stories, listen how the people live in the different countries. In return, I can guide you through Prague or especially through the natural beauty in its surrounding.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Meeting different cultures is why I'm on couchsurfing.
The main reason why I travel is culture, nature, self-discovery.

Interests

Nature is my love and life.
I like a sweet wine, cider, good tea, good cheese, olives.

My collection of coins and banknotes from different countries is eager to receive something else than Euro. Is not valid anymore? Even better!

Music, Movies, and Books

• Frank Herbert: Dune (book series 1-6 parts, masterpiece of scifi and only true ecological scifi, so far)
• Andrzej Sapkowski: The Witcher (book series, for his masterful character building)
• Hayao Miyazaki: Nausicaa (anime, it speaks to children about connection to nature. japan ver., not eu-american Disney cut)
• Adam's Apples (Danish movie, is a bit cynical, but their humor is exceptionaly unique)
• Enya (her ambient music calms my mind)
• Karel Kryl (czech folk singer, it is personal, he was such an idealist as I am)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

To be exposed to the elements of nature. Cross the desert, live in the jungle, climb the mountain, encounter the bear in the forest.
To bring the calm mind from meditation to my daily life.
To see the pure love in human eyes. Why is it so rare?

What I Can Share with Hosts

What I can share grows with a depths of our mutual understanding.
Comfortable place to stay, talks about our travels, traveltips, for everyone not bound to ctrl+c+v.
Guide to the city, invitation for activities bellow, if you came to meet me.
Open heart, magical moments of our lifes, friendship, for those who can listen even to the silence.

1) Via Ferrata climbing - I can take you to Slany, where is a via ferrata outdoor climbing park. Or, if weather is rainy, we can go inside and I can teach you basics of boulder climbing on the artificial wall.
2) "Big America" - is a nickname for a flooded quarries not far from Prague. Beautiful nature scenery. We can descend down to quarry, enjoy romantic bathe in very clear water, explore the cave system of mines (it's forbidden, but possible :) (1 day trip)
3) nature sceneries of Prague - if you've already seen the architecture of Prague (which is highly worth of it, but I im not fond of architecture) I can show you the Prague from another perspective. There are also places of nice green nature to calm your mind after a long day of sightseeing. I can take you there or just to show you the way. Few of them are very near to my house (that's why I live there) - calm tree park, river valey with Prague's most famous hiking route, Prague's largest bothanical garden, wild mystical cemetery.
