About Me

A last-year marketing student with a constant interest in the world and people who live in it. I like to explore and learn something new whatever it is-- music, movies, countries, cities, people, books, food, thoughts, etc. Spontaneous, adventurous, curious, optimistic, crazy sometimes..

Absolutely passionate about digital marketing and IT. 100% positive that my whole life I'll be working in this sphere. As a student I used to take part in lots of marketing competitions, national and international, case studies and tournaments. I have a burning ambition to become a highly qualified digital marketing specialist.

I was born in the country of lakes Belarus, but now I tend to spend more and more time living in the USA.

As more and more touristic opportunities are opening for me right now, I tend to travel more. As a tourist, I prefer to enjoy a new city more like a local rather than a tourist..the things are more natural in this way

CURRENT MISSION

Stay hungry, Stay foolish. Steve Jobs
No guts no glory

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet interesting people, make friends, share knowledge and spend a good time. I'm kind of new to couchserfing, I've tried it only twice, and this travel experience was absolutely unforgettable! Looking forward to meeting new surfers and hosts again!

Interests

Music-- mentioned below briefly. Actually, there is much much more to say about it;

Languages-- trying to learn some Latin 'cause I'm a great fan of etymology. Currently polishing my English and French skills;

Cooking-- vegetarian and vegan cooking is more preferable for me. The good thing about vegetarian style of life is that you try something new all the time. Moreover, I'm totally obsessed with smoothies;

Books-- currently reading books from 100-best-books-of-all-time list;

Photography, film photography-- 5 years ago I discovered something new and fantastic for me- film photography. I used to take shoots with an old Soviet mirror photo camera Kiev 19. It's still my favorite gadget by the way! Moreover, I experienced to print b/w photos using my own hands, dark room with red light and lots of chemical substances..just like in good old days. Now I switched to digital photography 'cause it's the easiest and most productive way of making photos. But still I love film shoots!

Art, drawing-- surrealism is the most mysterious and weird style I the world art for me...struggling to uncover its meaning through paintings. I'm also obsessed with not-long-lasting-existence Impressionism

Traveling-- I've only traveled a little across the USA and Europe. Planning to visit Asia soon, the other part of the world

Longboarding-- my new passion

Music, Movies, and Books

Music-- I really can't imagine my life without music. Garage Rock 60's and Britpop 90's is very me!! I'm fond of folk, folk rock, indie rok, britpop, punk rock, blues, jazz, blues rock, classical music, rock&roll, psychadelic rock, new wave, decent rap, metal a little...actually there is a huge list.

Books-- I read mostly classics: Russian of The Golden Century of literature (18-19th cent.), American of the 20th cent., British - 19th. Favourite one is "Vanity Fair", W. Thackeray - great book!!! I also adore Harry Potter and Belarusian poetry. It may sound strange, but I like to read dictionaries...kinda weird, but it's just me)

Movies-- there is a huge list of them..more than a half of them is from the previous century!
