About Me
Unfortunately unable to host now but always happy to show you around Tartu.
I consist of cinema and minesweeper.
Current goal: to get technical work experience from different film festivals.
I do not drink coffee or tea. Don't be offended when I decline if you offer those.
In Estonia I do not eat sweets either, but I can try some when I'm travelling.
🌈
It's a shame to have to write this:
CS is not for finding a sexual partner. Do not contact me if that's what you use it for. I won't entertain your "offers" and I will happily leave a truthful reference.
Also, "no" means "no". And one "no" is enough.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I heard about it years ago when I was too young to surf but it never left my mind even though it sounded a bit scary. Then when I ended up alone in NYC without a place to stay I decided to give it a try and jumped head first into this unknown water - a really amazing decision. Thanks to CS I have made such huge steps towards being less afraid of people and now even in my home town I can't keep off hangouts.
The best thing about travelling is going somewhere without plans and knowing that unknown events will find you and surprise you. I like the feeling of coming back home from a trip knowing new types of lives that I couldn't have imagined before. Couchsurfing often introduces stuff to do on your trip or at home that you wouldn't have found on your own. When there's no unknown event making itself known to me, I like to walk around looking at the buildings or sit on a bench looking at people. I don't make a good museum visitor and feel trapped if I need to visit too many places or see too many important spots in a day.
It would be a dream to live in a big house with lots of rooms and be able to host many people from around the world at once. But sadly that's not the case. I used to host in Tallinn in a one room apartment in a building with a guard, where overnight guests weren't allowed. Now I live with my parents in Tartu and our house is not in shape for having guests. But in the summer I can offer hitchhikers to camp in our garden.
Interests
CouchSurfing has the wonderful opportunity to list your interests/things you like. But I also feel the need to list my dislikes, to hopefully be able to avoid these things more easily!
DISLIKES:
Strangers touching me
Cheek kisses
Tea. Coffee. Chai. Warm drinks in general
Museums. Tour guides
Gender roles and expectations
One "no" not being enough
Having plans
Other people making plans for me
Popcorn cinemas
Planned surprises
Elevators. Tight spaces
Car safety not being taken seriously
______________________________________________
Whenever I'm home I work in an art-house cinema in an old church. I love it there and I am dreading the day I will be living in a town with no good cinema.
I go to music trivia games in Tartu whenever I can. My co-worker at the cinema gave me his old skateboard so trying to get better at that and always going to the cinema a lot! Every once in a while I make a stencil or draw.
