Overview
About Me
Well, I consider myself an open minded, passionate and enthusiastic person. I try everyday to do whatever brings me peace of mind and the most joy, living in the here and now.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think it's a great way of exploring places on a budget and to get a cultural experience, a peak into local life.
Interests
I love travelling around and exploring new places, food and people of different regions . As well, music brings me peace in a really exciting and profound way. It's an important part of my life and I recently realised that when someone is speaking and finishes the sentence with a word that reminds me the lyrics of a song, I automatically sing that song. Jep, it's like this. So basically I'm singing and dancing random stuff when I'm in public too. Thankfully, I am spending my saturday mornings enjoying beginners musical theatre classes.
I lately discovered two new passions: face painting, belly painting and balloon twisting, so after working for others I decided to create my own professional business called "Marina Purpurina" (Marina Sparkle) where I do this stuff at children's parties and at charity events. I absolutely love my job! You can check my work here I: @marina.purpurina, F: /marinapurpurina

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I walked el Camino de Santiago (The Saint James Way) in two occasions, and it has been one of the greatest experiences of my life so far. There was lots of emotions and feelings. I was pushed up to limits of stamina and fortitude (which I was really proud of myself) and met people from all over the world with their own personal story, struggling and finding their own way as well. Very intense and vivid. If you have the time and budget, just go for it and start the adventure!
Teach, Learn, Share
If there is someone interested in learning Spanish I will do my best to teach you. And always happy to share a trip with new people.
What I Can Share with Hosts
To be honest, I am very bad at cooking and my version of the typycal spanish omelette "tortilla de patatas" always ends up destroyed while cooking. But I can give back by sharing my travel stories, whether have a drink and help in the house.
