CURRENT MISSION

To meet people in the prime of my life....and to Lindy Hop/Swing Dance everywhere I go. I am renovating an old Japanese house in the mountains as a volunteer Artist Retreat and Permaculture farm. Check IG: @haveyoustayed

ABOUT ME

I am 58 but feel like 18...I was a chap who travelled alot when younger and many times relied on the kindness of strangers...I was able to offer the same for others...In this way couchsurfing seems to confirm it is still possible to meet people and share your life....and I want some of that back in my life. I loved the meeting of people and sparking on similar interests and philosphy, especially when I hitched through Europe, North Africa and South East Asia....I also participate in Workaway and HelpX as I have an Artist's Retreat, an old Japanese Kominka, that I am currently renovating. People are welcome to stay there if they want to experience rural Japan.

PHILOSOPHY

I am a bloke who wants to know and learn more....Live well and leave the place better than I found it......

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Back in the day...in the 80's couch surfing or crashing at someone place was a great way to get under the skin of another person. I feel this new way of meeting people and sharing kindness is an important and globally vital opportunity for all of humanity to draw closer......

Saw a sunset in the Atlas mountains....It is too amazing and beautiful to describe.

Became severely dehydrated in the Atlas mountains....saved by the kindness of strangers....

I know stuff.....but I like it to come out organically and in context. At the moment I am an Inquiry teacher....and really wish we still had the joy of discovery that children naturally bring to the world.
