Hey I’m Marlene, a doctor from Vienna, currently in between jobs for 2 months and will use this time to travel to South Africa and La Reunion. It's been a long time since I used couchsurfing but I have had amazing experiences 10 years ago (god I feel old haha). I will be in capetown for 2 weeks and am looking forward to meeting some people to go on hikes with or hang out at the beach or go to a bar.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My first couch surfing experience was 11 years ago, when my three friends and I surfed the Benelux. It was so much fun, that I decided to host the following summer, because my parents were on holidays. I got to know two really nice german brothers and a funny couple from Switzerland.
I see CS as an opportunity to get to know places from a different access, to see a city through the eyes of a person who is living there. And of course, get to know the person!
