About Me

• I live in Delft, which is around 10 minutes by train from Rotterdam or The Hague

Hi!

I am Martijn, and throughout the past years I've made some wonderful friends through Couchsurfing, alone or with my friends. I'm easy going, humorous and broadly interested, and generally not a person that runs out of topics quickly :)

Just finished studying and started my first proper job as a policy officer in the built environment :) when I'm not doing that however, I love to be outside in nature. I am very passionate about photography, as well as music, cooking, and reading. Current obsession is the history of western religions, so that's where most of my evening hours go nowadays :)

Most of all though I love riding my bike. I've made thousands of kilometres on the European roads, from Cologne to Rome, Paris to Monaco, from Avignon back home, and last year, alone for the first time, from home to Verona.

Every trip helps me understand who I am and how I'm growing as a person, and every time I make a bunch of new friends along the way. Can't wait for the next one.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Simple,
The Couchsurf community is great and I love to both contribute to the community by hosting as well as getting the most out of it by traveling and meeting some wonderful new people.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have a slight music addiction, and any music where people don't scream too loudly I can appreciate. I'm mostly into the 60s, 70s and 80s, together with some modern indie artists and classical music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Better keep that for when we're sharing a beer :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm happy to teach you some photography skills, join you on a bike ride or a hike, or just have a good talk over a beer :) It's hard to find something I'm not interested in, and I love to share and learn.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm super open, always curious and interested and polite. I love to learn and share, both knowledge and moments, activities, whatever you want!

Austria, Belgium, Egypt, England, France, Germany, Italy, Monaco, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Russian Federation, Slovakia, Switzerland, Vatican City State
