About Me

Plan a fun trip from Korea to Hungary. Maybe across Iran?

I like to explore new places, walk about a lot, I'm interested in all sorts of things like automatization, mobile communication, math, stock speculation, gastronomy and so on. I'm generally rather passionate about the things I do.

I'm aiming high. :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I travel, used to host in Budapest.

I stayed at many hosts, met a ton of people who didn't host me but showed me around, been to CS meetings in Budapest, hosted in Budapest.

IT, portable and non-portable gadgets, cars, snowboarding, math, behavioural economics, decision making, investments, all things engineering.

Music, Movies, and Books

Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones, Star Wars - books and movies, loved them both. Recently got addicted to House of Cards. I'm also in love with every movie Tarantino ever made.
Some books I've really enjoyed recently: Taleb's Antifragile and Gilbert's Stumbling on Happiness
I enjoy Iron Maiden, AC/DC, Metallica.. and the works of Howard Shore for background music when I work (he did the LoTR series), and also recently I noticed myself listening to dance and party music just for itself.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Pushed myself out of my comfort zone, changed myself to meet my goals. Hitchhiked a lorry with my broken scooter, and after being left in an abandoned no-other-exit autobahn rest station, been escorted to the exit by the highway police in the middle of the night. No fine.

...crossed Eurasia on train... ;)

Rode a shitty old Honda Win from Hanoi to Saigon - without a scratch!!

Hitchhiked from Saigon to Singapore.

Teach, Learn, Share

Will teach basic university level mathematics for a free meal. :D Seriously though, I'm in my third year at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, and I remember the stuff I learned quite well. I'm also a self educated gadget tinkerer, so I can probably fix your broken iPhone, no free meal required. ;)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I learned how to prepare Hungarian goulash soup! :))
