About Me

Hace unos años viajé por varios países para conocer nuevas culturas y personas. Sigo con la misma idea, aunque esté en Chile. Bienvenidas y bienvenidos a Santiago.
Disfruto de intentar cosas nuevas y ya he probado cocinar, bucear, dibujar, hornear, hacer masajes, tener un vlog, hacer paracaidismo y atender mesas, entre otras cosas.

A few years ago I travelled around the world to know new cultures and meet new people. I still want to do it, even if I'm staying in Chile. Welcome to Santiago.

I love to trying new things, so I already checked the boxes for cooking, scuba diving, illustrating, baking, massaging, blogging, sky diving and waiting tables, among others.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Basically, the "classic tourist" stereotype of people just taking pictures and eating burgers wherever they are doesen't work for me. I love the fact that travelling involves to know new cultures and interact with different people, wether you travel or host travelers. I want to learn new languages, eat new food and give back whatever cultural richness I may have.

Interests

In general I like trying new food and cooking new recipes. After learning how to bake I discovered my passion for food in a kitchen. I also enjoy the outdoors: riding my bicycle, hiking, running and scuba diving. And from practicing yoga and the interest for meditation I got into liking massages, so I got a few certifications (I'm a little rusty, though).

Music, Movies, and Books

In music, I try to be open and eclcetic , but I lean towards Trip-Hop, Punk Rock, Classical music, indie rock and folklore... My favourite movies are Interstellar; Fight Club; 500 days of Summer; The secret life of Walter Mitty...

In literature, I love Poe and Kafka, Also, add Brett Easton Ellis and Dostoievsky to the mix.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teaching and learning are the best ways of sharing in my opinion, as you are always doing the latter while doing the former. For sure I will ask "How do you say 'hello' in your langauage?" and then will tell you how to say "hola" (if you don't know it already). The other great thing about learning and teaching is that you can apply it to everything: there's always something new, even if you are an "expert".

What I Can Share with Hosts

In an abstract sense, I enjoy good conversations and like to discuss any field, including politics, history, literature and nature. I have good sense of humour and can share my culture with others. In a practical sense, I'm a good cook, so a nice meal is something I can always offer.
