About Me

Kindness has the power to transform our world, and it's a guiding principle that shapes my life. I find joy in connecting with others, listening to their stories, and sharing in the richness of their experiences. I believe in the beauty of reciprocity, where we exchange pieces of our lives to create meaningful connections. While I may lean more towards listening than speaking, I'm always eager to engage with your questions about who I am, my culture, my homeland, and the adventures that have shaped me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I subscribed to Couchsurfing because I value cultural exchange, human connection, and the opportunity to explore new places with a local perspective. For me, Couchsurfing offers a unique way to immerse myself in different cultures also without moving from my home, by hosting or meeting up with fellow travelers. Here I can share experiences, stories, and insights with people from diverse backgrounds, fostering understanding and friendship across borders. I'm looking to connect with like-minded individuals, and Couchsurfing provides a platform to do so in a meaningful and enriching way.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

1. Attempted Trip to Central African Republic:
Ah, the Central African Republic – or at least, that was the plan. Flying halfway across the Sahara, only to be turned back because of some political unrest! It might not have been the smoothest journey, but at least it made for a nice story to tell. And who knows, maybe one day I'll make it there! Will you join me?

2. Long-Distance Health Transport with Ambulance:
Talk about a wild start! Here I was, realizing I left my wallet with all the crucial documents, including my driving license, back in Italy. But there was no turning back. With a mission to fulfill, we embarked on a 36-hour, 3,000-kilometer journey to Romania and back. Picture two drivers swapping shifts, catching snippets of sleep on the stretcher or in the passenger seat, and countless hours spent at the Budapest Italian Embassy trying to navigate our way into Romania without proper documents. Yet, despite the hurdles, our determination prevailed. In the end, we successfully delivered the patient and her daughter safely back home!

3. Children Transport to Ukraine:
Four vans and a car, 20 kids in the back, for a 5-days, 4.964-kilometer journey to Ukraine and back, avoiding enormous potholes in the road while running escorted by the Ukrainian police.

Oh, and I launched with a parachute, but this wasn't that extraordinary :P
