I’m Matteo, I was born in Italy but grew up in Transylvania, Romania. No vampire stuff, I swear :)))
Right now, I’m in my last years of high school and slowly starting to explore the world on my own terms.

What I’m really after are real, honest experiences, not tourist checklists. I believe the best way to understand a place is through the people who live there. That’s why I love the idea of couchsurfing.

I’m super easy to get along with, open-minded, and always curious to learn something new whether it’s a tradition, a recipe, or just how daily life looks in a different part of the world. I adapt quickly and feel at home in all kinds of places, from busy cities to quiet towns.

Some fun facts about me: I’ve been really involved in volunteering and community work for the past few years. I’ve also been a graphic designer since I was 13, and I signed my first contract at 14 with an esports team from Romania. Since then, I’ve worked with several NGOs in Romania as well as European organizations. One of the coolest projects I was part of was designing for an event organized by the United Nations. Right now, I’m working as a graphic designer for TEDx LuncaArgesului Youth.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I received a scholarship to complete my final years of high school in Denmark, where I’ll be studying for the International Baccalaureate diploma, one of the most prestigious and challenging academic programs in the world.
