Overview
About Me
My name is Matt, I was born and raised in Fargo, North Dakota. I am currently a senior at Minnesota State University Moorhead studying computer science and math and working in software development. I love spending time with my family and friends and getting out as often as possible! In the summer I spend a lot of time at Lake Lida with my family, windsurfing, wake boarding, and enjoying the Minnesota summer! I play viola in MSUM's orchestra and enjoy classical music. I also LOVE crossfit and have been getting into hot yoga too! I have a yellow lab named Sandy whom I adore.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love to travel and meet people. The world is such a wide-open and diverse place, I can't think of a better way to experience it then through it's people! Being young and from the midwest has left an influence on me, mostly good I believe, but I really look forward to experiencing new paradigms of thought and seeing some cool places. The wanderlust is real!!
Update (11/29/2021): I have stayed with quite a few hosts on CS and have found the entire experience to be profound. Meeting my hosts has often proved to be the favorite parts of my trip! The couch surfing community has really helped to bolster my faith in people. I recently moved into an apartment and am open to hosting too!

Music, Movies, and Books
I like a wide variety of music; everything from classical to EDM; Mac Miller, Vicetone, The Black Keys, Of Mice and Men, Third Eye Blind, Avicci, Blink 182, the list goes on and on.
My favorite movies are probably the Bourne series, Austen Powers, and Joe Dirt. Favorite books include anything by Tim Ferriss, and lots of classics; The Count of Monty Cristo, The Three Musketeers, A Tale of Two Cities, etc.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would be happy to share my experience on the viola or tutor any math classes up through Calc 2! Maybe I could be more practically able to help with any projects around the house, I am a beast at manual labor! I am an open book and would love to learn whatever you are willing to share. I love good stories and hearing of others' experiences!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share everything I travel with, any help you need with projects, and for sure a positive attitude. I would love to have you join in my adventures, or if you are busy I am totally content to do my own thing.
