Overview
About Me
Hey Y'all!
I'm Matt, a 30 year old attorney who lives in the San Fernando Valley part of Los Angeles. Its a more suburban area of LA but its quiet and peaceful. I am a musician on the side, as well as a hobby gaming streamer and enjoy some good drinks and social times with my friends. Games are always fun, both board and video, as well as sports of about any type! Though I am more partial to college (American) football and baseball! I am also a proud owner of two cats, who are my everything and my prides and joys.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Meet new people, hear new stories, and further expand my knowledge on this big ball we call Earth.
I mainly will likely host! I just want to meet new people and hear new stories. If you would like good local Mexican food and a quiet night in while traveling, I got the place for you. Also feel free to reach out if you need any recommendations on places to see, places to go, or eat at! As a lifelong resident here, I've gotten pretty familiar with my "little" town ;D

Music, Movies, and Books
Rock n roll and country music are absolutely at the top of my favorite music list, but I am more than happy listening to just about anything as long as it fits the vibe! I have music and artists saved in about every genre, and in multiple languages. For example, I can go from Mongolian throat singing metal (the HU) to J-Pop (BiSH) to Spanish dance (Selena) to American country rock (The Eagles). Happy to show you something!
Movies I am also all over the place, about any genre is interesting to me, both domestic and foreign.
Trying to get back into reading (after doing too much from law school) and get into some fun history books to start off with. But could definitely use some improvement here. I've read a small handful of local history books this past year, but still improving!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Does be on TV count? Otherwise, I don't know. I was super good at golf as a kid and was top ranked in the US for a brief moment.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you the ways of being in Los Angeles. I can show you the local experience. The hole in the wall restaurants and places to drink. I'm an avid stoner (it is legal in California), and can share my knowledge and product with you, if you so desire. I'm happy to talk local politics and maybe even teach you a few words in Spanish!
As a lifelong native, I can hopefully share with you not just the local spots but the overall popular, can't miss areas in Los Angeles.
As a traveler, I am happy to share my stories and experiences for a number of cities and places in the United States. I've been all over the country with plenty left to go! Lets talk about it!
