Ciao, my name is Matthias!

I'm an actor, a camera assistant, a cat lover and a professional shower vocalist. My mission in life is to see as much of the world as I can and to get to know different cultures and especially their humans!

I love Couchsurfing for the feeling it brings, for the lasting bonds it creates and for proving that true kindness and curiosity about each other still exists in this world!

While travelling I love to meet new people, learn about their culture and experience places from a more local point of view. Because you see things you might have never seen, you get to places you might have never visited, you learn from each other and you build valuable friendships, that last for a lifetime. - That's what I love about CS.

I think there's no better way to get to know a country than by talking to its people.
So I just discovered Couchsurfing as an awesome possibility to connect and to broaden my horizon.

Interests

Making Films is one of my biggest passions.
Either in front of the camera or behind it - I just love being on sets. It's where my heart and home is.
There is this special chemistry that arises when everybody's working together with the intent to get a good result and create something unique!

Water is my element. In surfing I found my religion. It gives me a feeling of freedom and ease. It’s where I feel most alive.

Cats are sort of my spirit animal. They do whatever the hell they want (basically it's eating and sleeping) and it's hard to bring them out of balance.

What would life be without music? It's part of my everyday life. A day where I didn't play or sing any tone or at least listened to a song, would be a lost day!

Music, Movies, and Books

I like almost every kind of music. My taste is very diversified.
Rock, Pop, Metal, Soul, Blues or Rap music - I listen to quite a lot!

Favorites right now are: Counting Crows, John Mayer, The Eagles, Beatsteaks, 2 Pac

(As a cineast) same with Movies. I have a special weakness for Batman! And for some classics like 'Singin' In The Rain' or 'Casablanca'.
