Hello everyone, I'm Matthieu, french teacher, living in Congo now. I'm gonna stay here for a while. A few experiences in CS. I travelled a lot, specially in 2022, backpacking for ten months.

I'm really quiet and silent guy, when I'm not teaching in front of my students in school, of course. I read a lot and use to be a traveler. I like to trek in mountains during summer, that's a good way to search peace and silence after a year of sound and fury. My friends tell me I'm a good cook, better than musician I think....

I travel a lot and I tried every way of traveling : hostels, youth hostels, wild camping... For me CS isn't just a way to have a bed for one night or two. I'm looking at the person. I think it's difficult to accept a complete stranger at his own home, but it's also difficult to the traveler being hosted by a complete stranger. So, both of us are in front of something strange.... After this, it's easier to share the experience.

I read a lot and listen often music (classical specialy, even if I don't really have preferences). I have eclectic tastes.

Music : Rock (the beatles, the doors, the clash, David Bowie) , Baroque music (specially J.S. Bach), the french group Feu! Chatterton and the chilian group Inti-Illimani, also the songs of Barbara, Jacques Brel, Georges Brassens and Chavela Vargas.

Books : Every books, specially the classics. Marcel Proust, Jack London, Jack Kerouac, Tolstoï, Rousseau, Arthur Rimbaud, Garcia Lorca, Victor Hugo, Saint-Exupery,...

Movies : Into the wild, Annie Hall, Baisers volés, Pierrot le fou

I stayed in Morroco during one month for a volunteering project, I stayed in a small village in the mountains during three weeks, teaching french and share the berbere way of life.
