About Me

Hey everyone! I prefer Matt, but Matthew, Matteo, Mateusz, Matias etc. works too! :)
I'm a fun and social guy who has had no real opportunity to be one for the past couple of years due to my negligence of my own needs and wants and complete takeover by routine and things I thought I'm "ought to be doing"
I guess midlife crisis hit early and now I'm very much done with staying at home
I want to meet as many new people as possible, finally surrounding myself with friends and like-minded people, see how different life can be and simply get a breath of fresh air!
I feel like for the first time I actually want to see what this life has to offer, if you catch my drift
I love good music, I love interesting, quirky and good people, I love good movies, I love weird little ignorant tattoos, I like experiencing new things (at least that's how I'd call it) and I love cats

Here's a link to my Insta, it's a private one tho https://www.instagram.com/fuketsu/

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think I accidentally included this in the About Me section..

Music, Movies, and Books

I'd say music has always been my main source of entertainment and inspiration
I would like to think of myself as a guy who actually does listen to everything and I'm up to prove the stereotype wrong
Obviously there are things I listen to more often than other, but for some reason it's quite hard to pinpoint this at this exact time. As of late it has been mostly "experimental" hip-hop (think JPEGMAFIA, Danny Brown, Paris Texas etc.) and punk stuff (can't really single out anything except for IDLES and mb Viagra Boys)
I do have my funk, soul, dad-rock, electronic and other fazes, whatever suits my mood most at the time
here's my spotify link! https://open.spotify.com/user/pcx3l6em71od50lozt3rmqc54?si=0eb9a9a0c60e44b1

As far as movies go - here's a link to my Letterboxd https://letterboxd.com/fuketsu/
I'm very much an average movie fan, not a cinema head, but would love to talk and discuss a n y t h i n g, I'm a fan of a friendly debate any time any place
As mentioned on my profile my favorite movie AOT is SLC Punk (not the second part, God forbid). This gem has been rewatched numerous times, I think about 2 times a year ever since I saw it for the first time in about 8th grade.

To my own shame I haven't really read any books in a long time (excluding my single Berserk Vol.), but the ones I immediately think back to is The Master and Margarita by Bulgakov, short stories by Sergei Dovlatov and one not so popular book the name of which roughly translates to
"In Between Two Chairs". Last one is definitely niche, but the website did ask for my favorites

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm not the type of guy who thinks about my accomplishments, as for some reason it feels like being self-centered and selfish (therapy is in progress, I'm on it)
If I had to single out one specific thing most likely it would be getting to live on my own, separating from my parents at a pretty early age for some. I was about 18 when I started to live on my own, proceeded to drop out of Uni in pursuit of a job, got into IT and learned what I had to to slowly be where I am at right now, moved to Poland and created a sufficient enough life here.
It may not be an impressive thing by other people's standards, but at times I secretly do feel proud of myself for that and I'm happy I was able to go through it all

Teach, Learn, Share

Quite a large amount weird fun facts and internet and media trivia, but if you're looking for a "Slavic guy experience" and would like to learn more about that part of Europe - I can be your provider :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Hopefully we can all share an amazing social experience and a life-long friendship
But jokes aside, if you're looking for something specific - please let me know !
