I'm a recent sustainability graduate from Vienna currently traveling Latin America with my girlfriend from Venezuela. I consider myself an outgoing, down-to-earth guy who likes to end his day with a beer/coffee with friends and/or strangers.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
Because for me traveling is especially about meeting people from all over the world. Exploring any given place is much more interesting if you are with someone who knows their way around. I also like the concept of sharing and think that the best things in life can not be bought, which is why I support the idea of Couchsurfing.
Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I am into very different kinds of music so it is hard for me to narrow it down to a specific artist, album or even genre. Generelly, I listen to a lot of electronic music (mostly not very commercial), especially Ambient, Techno and weird experimental stuff. I also love me some old-school Hip-Hop, Jazz, Soul, Funk, and Disco or whatever floats my boat at that moment :-) Movies: Again, not an easy question so I'll just make a list with a few directors and some of their movies which I like: Richard Linklater (Waking Life), Darren Aronofsky (Pi), Christopher Nolan (Memento), Gaspar Noé (Enter the Void) Quentin Tarantino (Reservoir Dogs), Robert Rodriguez (Sin City), Guy Ritchie (Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels), + a few Austrian/German/other European ones Books: While traveling I like to read literature about traveling (e.g. Paul Theroux), nature (e.g. Jack London) or philosophy (e.g. Robert Pirsig). At home, I am pretty much busy with reading stuff for university but sometimes I manage to squeeze in some additional science books or some fiction.
One Amazing Thing I've Done
Many, but here's a few recent ones: - teaching 100 Guatemalan kids about environmental protection at amazing Casa Guatemala (2017) - entering some unexplored Maya ruins in the rainforest by Palenque, Mexico (2017) - marching with an underwear parade through the Bywater district in New Orleans, LA-US (2016) - playing cricket with kids in the biggest slum of New Delhi, India (2015)
Teach, Learn, Share
I am fluent in English and German and pretty confident about my Spanish (although I want to improve). There's also still some French deep down in the abysses of my brain, I think - depends on your patience :-) I am experienced in research and love to discuss science, philosophy, and thinking itself. I can show you how to throw a frisbee and am generally not too bad at sports. My cooking skills are decent I believe, and I love spending time (together) in the kitchen.
What I Can Share With Hosts
Everything I have in my head and backpack ;-)
