ABOUT ME

A 360 degrees open mind, a huge tuch of crazyness, big sens of self kidding: this the receipe to make a Maïté.
I can both enjoy a chill evening at home than going out all night long.
In both case, I only need good sound and fruit juice!!
I love the humankind (animals and vegetables too ^^), I like meetings wheither they're more sensitive or intellectual, as long as they are true and spontaneous.

I try to host when I can and I'm always happy to do a visit tour or go for a drink!!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Thanks to friends on Cs (one of them was my roomie), we hosted differents CS, wheither they were on an european trip, or erasmus students on a fresh start, or students coming for international meetings).
I even hosted some of them in Brussels too, in my parents house.

I'm more into realistic kind of art, but also dark humor and cynism, irony too... I like the stories of small people, commun ones, stories about life, both comic and tragedic...
I can enjoy really different type of film, but my heart and brain go more often to neo-realistic/poetic film, social realism.
I also have a guilty pleasure for queer, trash, B series, Z series.
Same for books.

For music, I'm quite open minded too, it depends on my mood.
I'm a huge fan of old swing and Jazz (Glenn Miller, Nina Simone, Miles Davis, Billie Holliday, Chet Baker, Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman), also electro Swing (Parov Stelar, Caravan Palace, C2C, Chinese Man).
I also love reggae (Bob of course, but Burning Spear too, Steel Pulse, Pupajim, ...), and french accoustic music (Jacques Brel, Georges Brassens, Edith Piaf, ...).

But when I want to go crazy and dance, music just need to have good BEATS!

My whole idea of living, my tastes and who I am is about breaking boundaries in gender closed in a box or one truth vision. I love to mix and mash!

I want to learn everything I can and everything life offers me to learn, by putting great and interesting people on my way.
I can teach French and English (not perfect, but fluent), and I'ld appreciate to share some of my cinema taste.

I know a lot about Lille, not just the city center!
I also know my hometown Brussels pretty good!

And basically all the North area, seaside, country side and other smaller cities.
