PHILOSOPHY

I want to see as much of the world as I can, meet people who will inspire my way of thinking in a new direction, pursue knowledge, and make a positive impact.

I love traveling, meeting new people, and learning about different cultures. I graduated with a BA in design and photography, and have spent the last few years working as a freelance wedding photographer. Traveling is so important to me, because every time it opens my mind to world of new ideas and ways of thinking. Exploring a new city with locals, and getting to experience those off-the-beaten-path places (whether it be local markets or hidden beaches) - those are my favorite.

I grew up in Munich, Germany, but have lived in the US for half my life as well. With a German father and an American mother, I can identify with both cultures and am still searching for a place that I call home.

At the start of 2015 I embarked on a journey to Nepal to live with a local family in Kathmandu, photograph, and learn everything I can about the Nepali culture. I can't wait to discover everything this fascinating country has to offer..

My experiences through Couchsurfing:

-Couchsurfing in Istanbul for 6 days, cooking German and Turkish dinners, exchanging stories, and meeting so many amazing people

-Couchsurfing with wonderful Italian hosts on a rooftop in Zürich

-Schnitzel cooking and whiskey drinking nights with Munich couchsurfing ambassador Michael Schrek and meeting couchsurfers from around the world
