About Me

I've been traveling for last 6 months, making a circle around the world. Everywhere I go I ask people questions about their lives, their aspirations, challenges they've faced, and what they are passionate about. When people are comfortable with it, I record the conversations and hope to make an audiostory with all the voices I have from around the world when I return home.

I started in New Zealand for 3 months, 6 weeks in Thailand, and have spent the last 2.5 months moving up through Europe starting in Italy.

Im flying to New York City from London with a layover in Iceland.

I've moved almost every week for the last 6 months and have slept on so many different beds and hung out with radically different people, so I consider myself adaptable and intrigued by novelty.

I enjoy social settings but also like alone time. I like to go with the flow which can mean entertaining myself, exploring a city on my own, reading a book, drawing or being shown around by someone and doing spontaneous things.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like meeting people and having genuine conversations. Hostels are great for meeting people but I love the idea of getting to know someone and seeing a small fragment of their life and home.

I also prefer to know a place by the people who live there and the places they hang out at. I am often not too interested in the tourist attractions especially if they involve lines, lots of waiting, and lots of people. I like to find the local places to eat and hang out.

I think the idea of Couchsurfing is revolutionary and can change the way people travel, as well as open the door for many people who may not have considered traveling before because of expenses. I believe that dialogue, empathy, and the ability to relate with people from around the world is key to making the world a little better place. When I return home I plan to open my house to be a host as well.
