About Me

I have a variety of interests, one of which is making jewelry! Right now I'm WWOOFing and selling my earrings/necklaces as I go along. I'm taking this time to meet new people and learn new things, very cliche, but I needed to do this and it's been the best learning experience so far!

What I'm currently reading:
Shantaram (on and off...it's an epic)
Kitchen Confessions, Anthony Bourdain

What I've recently read:
Tess of the Road by Rachel Hartman. Release date: Feb 27, 2018
Hartman also wrote the Seraphina trilogy and this includes Seraphina, but Tess is the main focus. It's absolutely awesome YA fantasy (and I RARELY read fantasy, like, the last time I did was when I was about 15). Mark your calendars! It's a-coming!
My Absolute Darling by Gabriel Tallent. released: Aug. 29, 2017
It's an incredible book. Psychotic, but incredible. Takes place: Northern California, Mendocino

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm traveling this Fall; WWOOFing and looking for places to explore and work to do. I've held "normal" jobs for years now and I felt I was due for an adventure, so here I am adventuring.

Healthy meals,
Nutritional advice,
How to can applesauce

Music, Movies, and Books

I love classic country, classic rock, broadway musicals, electronic music, folk, Irish music and my favorite contemporary musician is still Brandie Carlile.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sang in front of people I didn't know. I get wicked stage fright sometimes and at the first open mic I did my hands shook so much that I had to keep them jammed in my pockets. Things have, since then gotten better. That was last year. So far this year I've been working on getting my business going in the artistic city of Eugene, OR.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I like to make healthy food! I specialize in creative salads and like to sprout lentils and other beans to add to dishes. I also sing and I'm nearly always working on learning a new song to put in my memory bank. Current one is an old Gospel, Nobody's Fault But Mine. I'm also an amateur gardener and lover of windy days and burying my toes in fresh soil.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Canada, Czech Republic, England, France, Germany, Israel, Italy, Switzerland

Countries I’ve Lived In

Italy, United States
