I love to travel and explore the world. I started a Global Health Club for my medical school (National University of Natural Medicine) in 2016. I like to learn from other cultures and the people I meet. If there is a way to give back (such as volunteering to teach nutrition education, health education, or give free medical exams) I do so while I am abroad.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I am couchsurfing because I have a couple trusted, fellow-traveler friends who have had great experiences with it. They claim it is a great way to meet people, (locals, not just other tourists and those working in the service industries), while also saving money. When traveling, I like to live with the people, not as a tourist, in order to better learn about the culture in which I am immersing myself.
Music, Movies, and Books
The Alchemist. The Dream Giver. The Prayer of Jabez.
One Amazing Thing I've Done
Hiked 5 days on the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, Peru, 2017.
Teach, Learn, Share
Spoke on behalf of the AANP (American Association of Naturopathic Physicians) in Washington DC, 2018. Taught nutrition classes and performed medical exams in the favelas of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, 2018. Worked on a medical team in rural village clinics outside Cap Haitian, Haiti, 2017.
What I Can Share With Hosts
I would love to share my knowledge of nutrition, exercise, and medicine/healthcare. I love to cook and would love to share food and swap recipes. I would also love to share about my background in the US and my travels and adventures around the world. I would be willing to help with housework/chores or whatever else needs attended to while I am staying in my host's home.
