My name is Mel, I'm 27 years old and I live in Brisbane, Australia. I work full-time as a travel consultant which I have been doing for the past 6.5 years, it's truly rewarding to be a part of other people's travel experiences when I'm not off exploring myself. I'm also studying an undergraduate double degree in Science/Arts, with Clinical Science and Islam-West majors.

My greatest passion in life is to travel. Every year I try to go some place I have never been before, and my bucket list is forever growing. I enjoy meeting new people and experiencing new and exciting places and cultures.

I enjoy thrillers and heart felt dramas. My favourite director is Christopher Nolan, and some of my favourite films include the Dark Knight trilogy, The Prestige, and The Danish Girl.

I mostly enjoy fantasy and true crime books. My favourite book series is Harry Potter.

In 2011 I travelled to Iceland. There is a lake that runs between the Eurasian and American tectonic plates, and so you're essentially in two continents at the same time when you're in the water. Snorkelling in 2 degree Celsius, 2000 year old, crystal clear glacial water remains to this day one of the most incredible experiences of my life, and one that I will never forget.
