ABOUT ME

I'm Melissa, a 26 year old Eurasian. I grew up in Indonesia (where my mum's from) until I was 14, when I left for Perth, Australia. I completed high school there and earned my BA in 2012. Since then I've been travelling and seeing and experiencing the world.

Ive lived in:
Thailand (2 months)
London (11 months)
Toronto (10 months)
Amsterdam (1 month)

But now currently back in Perth for the time being, working as a bartender and studying maritime logistics.

I believe that the people we meet are the ones who make our travels worthwhile.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've loved being able to make friends from all over the world. Some places are great to visit as a tourist, staying at a hostel and spending time with other travellers but other places are great to see through the eyes of a local.

Cinema, any type of music I can dance to, going all night dancing until I see the sunrise, going out to events, visiting cool pop ups, music festivals, bartending, cocktails, enjoying the outdoors on a nice day, photography, soaking in the atmosphere of a new city
