About Me

To figure out my current mission...

I have been avidly pursuing my acting career, my childhood dream, which I had put on the back burner while I was at Pepperdine University getting my degree.

When it comes to my life passions and priorities, traveling is at the top of my list. I LOVE to travel and have already been to 71 countries on 6 continents! My goal is to set foot on the soil of every country on this beautiful planet. Ambitious, I know, but that's my middle name! ;-) Antarctica will be my 7th and final continent to conquer, so for my 30th birthday you can be sure that I will treat myself to a nice little expedition down south!

I just returned from a 7-month trip backpacking Latin America. This trip was mainly to attend the World Cup in Brazil, but I managed to go to 13 countries during this time, both before and after. I spent two months in Brazil going to 5 different World Cup matches all over the country, including the final between Argentina and Germany at the famous Maracana stadium... I was lucky enough to sit in the front row! I also spent two months in Bocas del Toro, Panama doing my Divemaster and working as a bartender at Iguana, one of the most popular bars on the island... all of which was totally spontaneous, as I only intended to spend two or three nights in Bocas. That is how I like to travel... the best plan is not to have one :) Some other highlights from my trip were diving the Great Blue Hole in Belize, spending three weeks in the Brazilian Amazon (sleeping in a hammock on a boat for 7 nights sailing up the Amazon River from Manaus to Colombia, and catching a piranha that we ended up cooking for dinner). And of course, visiting Angel Falls in Venezuela, the tallest waterfall in the world. This was something that had been on my bucket list for nearly 10 years!

Each chapter of my life has been one crazy, fun-filled adventure after another. A page-turner that you cannot put down. Every place I visit, every encounter I have, every memory I make helps build up my treasure chest of unique life experiences that I can pull from when I am acting, or simply interacting day to day. Every actor needs their field research ;-) By broadening my perspectives, challenging my old beliefs, and opening my mind to fresh new ways of being, I hope to transform myself into a global ambassador and conscientious citizen of the world.

"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."
-- Mark Twain

"When you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it."
-- Paulo Coelho, The Alchemist

"Don't let your past hold your future hostage."

"Travel makes one modest, you can see what a tiny place you occupy in the world."

"The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page."
-- St. Augustine

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I try to contribute as much as I can to the CouchSurfing Project by spreading the word about how warm, hospitable, and amazingly close-knit this community is, and also by giving my all to each and every CS experience I have, whether it's surfing or hosting.

Because of CouchSurfing, I have met many wonderful people, made life-long friends, and have crazy travel stories to share with my grandchildren! If it weren't for CouchSurfing, I wouldn't have been able to travel nearly as much as I have. I'm so glad I made the decision to join this site! :-)

Traveling, photography (, acting, modeling, fashion, psychology, philosophy, art... especially surrealistic (Salvador Dali and Rene Magritte are my favorites), yoga, pilates, tennis, scuba diving (I'm a PADI-certified Divemaster soon to become Instructor), adventure sports, lazy days at the beach, watching movies, reading, wine-tasting, exploring new places, eating new foods, and just trying new things in general.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am interested in all kinds of movies, music, and books. I am a sucker for romance novels and chick flicks, but I love indie arthouse films too. "Eat Pray Love" was a book that really inspired me to write about my own travels and journeys through life.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In the fall of 2007, I participated in a unique study abroad program called SEMESTER AT SEA, in which I studied aboard a giant cruise ship with 700 fellow students, faculty, staff, and crew. We encircled the entire globe in 100 days and visited more than 12 countries. In just one semester I saw things that most people don't get to see in the span of a lifetime, and I've been to almost all the wonders of the world! Here is a partial blog from that trip

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to knit hats and scarves on a knitting loom, and also how to make yummy Basmati rice without a rice-cooker lol!
