About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Finishing school.

ABOUT ME

I'm normally a happy person and can get along with almost anyone.

I love to travel and meet new people. I've seen tons of amazing sights, but it's always the people I remember.

I'm in my last year of medical school at the Sanford School of Medicine. I took a few years off after undergrad, the first teaching English in Guadeloupe (French Caribbean) and the second going to graduate school and doing cancer research- among the best decisions I ever made.

I married my handsome husband this last September. He is new to Couchsurfing but willing to see what it's all about since he's heard my regular raves about it!

I've always been blessed in my travels, and I'm ready to pass on the favor, but PLEASE, no blanket requests! Couchsurfing has so much more to offer than a free couch and if that's all you're after, we probably wouldn't be the best hosts for you anyways. Say something in your message to let us know you actually read the profile!

PHILOSOPHY

I do my best not to judge anyone. You can't know everyone's story.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I offer travelers a cozy place to stay that's equipped with a host ready to show you around, and a cute calico cat.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I was lucky enough to surf a lot through Europe and have had a ton of great experiences. I hosted some surfers while in Guadeloupe and we always had a blast.

Interests

Meeting people who have different backgrounds than me, sports (especially basketball and softball), reading, languages, travel without a definite plan...raspberry rum. :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Backpacking in New Zealand.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to juggle or give yourself a nice French manicure (for the ladies!), basic medical knowledge, and a lot of other random but good things. I've also helped a lot of people with their English and would be more than willing to work with someone who's trying to learn it. I love to learn about different cultures and experiences, and am always ready to hear (or tell) a good story.

Countries I’ve Visited

Bahamas, Belgium, Brazil, Czech Republic, Dominica, England, Germany, Guatemala, Italy, Malta, Martinique, Netherlands, New Zealand, Saint Lucia, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In

Australia, France, Guadeloupe, United States
