I WILL BE TRAVELLING AND OUT OF TOWN FROM MAY UNTIL OCTOBER, SO I AM NOT AVAILABLE DURING THAT TIME! Hi, I am Merle, lovely to be here again! I had a profile before, which I cannot access at the moment, but you can find it if you search for hosts and type in my name - there are some references from my former couchsurfing days ;-) I moved back to my hometown of Hannover in 2014 after living in Düsseldorf and studying literture and translation there. Discovering new places is a great adventure to me and there simply is no better way of doing it than staying with lovely, local people. Here are some things I enjoy: Sunshine, good food, chocolate, relaxing while reading a book, walking through grass on bare feet, singing while riding my bike, swimming in clear water, dancing to wonderful music, sharing laughs with people I meet.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I have travelled with Couchsurfing before and enjoyed it immensely. Meeting so many wonderful people, both staying at their place and hosting, is just amazing and I would love to continue this experience!
Music, Movies, and Books
Music - I love music! Stuff to dance to (Salsa, Flamenco, Reggaeton, Ska - I don't discriminate), stuff to think to - Eddie Vedder, stuff to relax to - Moddi, Xavier Rudd, stuff to sing along to - Zaz, Maná, the list goes on and it's all good. Movies - Fried Green Tomatoes..., Pretty Woman, Kill Bill, Into The Wild, ah, too many... Books - I have not been reading enough lately. This needs to change back to the way it used to be. Books are soulfood.
One Amazing Thing I've Done
Traveling around Australia for 9 months, packing melons and pruning vines. It has impacted my ability to think of "trips" that are shorter than a month as worthwhile, which is rather inconvenient when you have a job, but it sure was amazing.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can try to teach you German. I am not good at grammar though. I can cook a bit and teach you how to make a simple meal if you have no idea. I don't follow a specific diet, but like vegetarian food and trying vegan options. I'd love to show you around Hannover by bike if you visit, I use my bike for pracitcally all my transportation.
