ABOUT ME

I grew up in Portland, OR (United States) a city I love for its quirkiness! I enjoy sipping a cup of tea on my back porch, dancing in my kitchen, and having unexpected conversations with strangers.

PHILOSOPHY

You do you, I quote my epically awesome best friend. Believe what you choose to believe, do what you want to do, and dance as though you are skipping along the tip of your spirit.

I hosted for the year I lived in Spain and I've surfed a bit in Germany, Spain and the US.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

It never ceases to amaze me the variety of ways one can live and travel. All the surfers and hosts I've met have expanded my idea of what adventures are possible.

Interests

These days I am on a deep journey though Buddhist philosophy. I also love to dance and do improv comedy, happy to teach/share these hobbies!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music tends to enter my body, move it and exit all in one wave so I enjoy listening to anything that moves me or calms me. I've been really digging hand pan music by Malte Marten. Even though I can't tolerate much violence in media I love Quentin Tarantino and Wes Anderson movies. The last book I read was Eastern Body Western Mind.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Aaah, the scale of "amazing" is so subjective. My most recent memory of an amazing experience was the stillness of a lake that I sat in a kayak on, there was a full moon and not a ripple appeared to mar the mirror like surface.

Teach: Improv comedy and dance. Learn: American Sign Language, how to use a sewing machine, and car mechanics. Share: meditation

What I Can Share with Hosts

Clean dishes, I can juggle your limes, recite the jabberwocky or teach you to swing dance.
