Im Michał, and i travel with my girlfriend Julia. We share two big passions; sailing ⛵️and connecting with people from different cultures and backgrounds. We love exchanging perspectives and learning new thinks just as much as having fun and being spontaneous.

The story that best describes who I am as a person is...
My aunt once described me to her friend in this fashion: “my Michael is so unbothered, his shoes are falling apart, he sleeps on a couch, travels the world to look at paintings” and it made me smile 😊.
The three things I'd bring to a deserted island are...
Lighter - for practical reasons. A friend - so to not get bored. And an ax - for building a boat, assuming the objective is to go back home. Imagin the bond with your friend after adventure like that.
The moment from my life that would make a perfect movie scene is...
That one time, last day of our trip, me and my best friend sitting on a wild Croatian beach, smoking cigars, talking about the future and God. It felt like a final scene of a melancholic movie, the kind where nothing dramatic happens, but you know something important is ending.
Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I don’t like being completely alone while travelling. Also I think meeting new people is fun, rewarding and to see your home and how you live can be mind-opening. It’s experiencing the culture from inside.
Music, Movies, and Books
Some of my fav artists: Caravaggio, Mark Tenannt, Bouguereau. Some of my fav books: ‘Old men and the sea’, ‘The Idiot’, ‘Portret of Dorian Grey’, Norman Davies’s books. Some of my fav movies: ‘Into the Wild’, ‘Black Swan’, ‘Django’. Some of my fav music: ‘Gun in my hand’, ‘In a sentimental mood’, Fryderyk Chopin (anything) Some of my fav TV show: ‘Love, Death and Robots’, ‘Ranczo’ The rest we can discuss live.
One Amazing Thing I've Done
The absolutely greatest adventure of my life was sailing along the north cost of Iceland. It was my first voyage on the sea, it was freezing, there was no shower, no darkness. Only once in a couple of days we would stop to take a bath in geyser heated water spring, and that felt like heaven.
Teach, Learn, Share
We can make a painting session and I can paint or draw you, a portret, figurative drawing, something more experimental or symbolic.
