Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I use CS for making friends, to travel on a budget and to share thoughts, but i also see it as an investment in myself. All those stories, tips and thoughts becomes a part of who i am now.
WHAT KIND OF HOST I AM
I am not the party kind of host. I do drink, smoke and don't mind to go to bed late, but i prefer to do that in good company and some nice conversation instead of getting wasted and waking up in my own puke :) If you want a private tour guide, it's not me, but i do have folders and tips about places to visit in the Netherlands and The Hague and happy to help you planning your trip! Since I'm organized, I like clear communication. I don't need a schedule of your future trips, but it would be nice if you let me know when you expect to be back home. Especially when we decide to eat together, so i can manage my time. I'm not so much into last minute action :)
WHAT KIND OF TRAVELLER DO I HOST?
I'm not picky about your gender, colour, political preferences or anything... Just send me a personal request please! Copy & paste messages automatically be declined. If i invite or accept your request, please be kind, use your common sense and tidying up after you use something. Thats all! Oh i almost forgot... Be sure you have some pictures on your profile and a bit of information about yourself, i like to know who i invite in my house :)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
So far (100+ references) only good experiences... and i like to keep it this way! So I'm picky :)
Interests
People + Food + Drinks + Nature + Travel + Music + Books + Netflix
Music, Movies, and Books
I use Spotify, IMDB and Google Reads to list all my favorites.
I'm happy to share them with you!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Besides the amazing places that i visited, i also remember the experience from talking with many people, sharing thoughts, travelling with locals, mistakes that i made, things i learned and many more.. that makes me as i am right now. Its more an all together thing than a list with places or things that I'm proud of, but for sure that Couchsurfing was and is playing a big part in that.
Teach, Learn, Share
One of the reasons i started couchsurfing is the opportunity to share stuff with like minded people.
Lets exchange (local) songs and albums on Spotify.. Or tell me your favorite serie, documentary or movie on Netflix :) and definitely let's cook together or teach me one of your local dishes. As long is it involve cultural exchange i'm in! Oh and if you wanna score bonus points... and if you have the chance (and budget!), i am always happy to receive a local drink, herb of snack from your country :)
