About Me
Hi!
I'm Mida, a solo traveler, writer, and seeker of new experiences. I love exploring places not just through sightseeing, but through the people I meet. Couchsurfing, for me, is about real connections, shared moments, and stories that go beyond just a place to stay. I believe every journey has a purpose, and I’m excited to see where this one takes me.
For the past two years, I’ve been traveling solo across Asia, discovering the beauty of places like the Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand, and Singapore. These journeys have shaped me in unexpected ways, teaching me about cultures, kindness, and the magic of human connections.
I’m also a writer - I’ve already published two books and I’m currently working on my third. Writing is how I capture the depth of the experiences I live, and many of the people I’ve met along the way have inspired stories in my books. Who knows? Maybe this journey will bring new stories to life as well.
I'm open to meeting like-minded people, sharing experiences, and learning from each other. Let's make some unforgettable memories!
I don't have a physical home right now, because I traded walls for the world. I sold everything to travel, write, and grow. I may offer a couch, but I offer stories, presence, and connection.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Traveling is not just about places- it’s about people, stories, and the energy of every experience. For the past two years, I’ve been on a journey of discovery, selling everything I owned to explore the world. Now, I continue my travels with a new purpose: collecting stories for my next books. The more experiences I live, the more I can write, and the more I can keep traveling and growing.
Couchsurfing, for me, is not just about finding a place to stay- it’s about connecting with incredible people, learning from different cultures, and exchanging ideas. I believe that the best adventures happen when we open ourselves up to the unknown. So here I am, ready for whatever comes next!
Interests
I’m passionate about exploring the hidden, unspoiled, and breathtaking corners of the world - the places that most travelers never get to see. I believe that the true beauty of a place lies beyond the tourist spots, in its raw authenticity and the untold stories waiting to be discovered.
I am fascinated by people and their secrets - the stories they carry deep within, the ones they choose to reveal only when the right soul comes along to listen. I love those rare, unexpected conversations that change perspectives and leave a mark on your heart.
More than anything, I want to be someone who brings smiles, spreads happiness, and inspires in a way that is unique and unforgettable. Because life is not just about the places we visit, but about the energy we share with the world.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love instrumental music, especially African rhythms and zouk. There's something magical about the way these sounds connect to the soul and the earth.
I enjoy romantic and comedy movies, but I’m also drawn to films about spirituality and the paranormal. I love stories that make me feel deeply or open my mind to new perspectives.
Two books that have profoundly influenced me are „The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari” and „Eat, Pray, Love”. Both have inspired me to embrace transformation, adventure, and the beauty of personal growth.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I left home for the first time alone, at 46, without knowing English, and traveled across Asia solo. I had never imagined myself as a traveler, but I trusted the journey - and it changed my life completely.
Teach, Learn, Share
I believe in the power of authenticity and self-discovery. If someone is open to it, I love sharing insights about personal growth, spirituality, and living life in a way that feels true to who you are. I can also teach practical skills - cooking, baking, and organizing (after 11 years of running my own cleaning business, I definitely know a thing or two about that! 😆).
My path is one of continuous evolution, especially in the spiritual sense. I want to grow in a way that is unique, authentic, and respectful of others' journeys. I believe in learning from people, experiences, and the energy of the places I visit.
I believe that we all have something valuable to give. I don’t impose my views, but if someone is curious, I am happy to share what I’ve learned along the way. More than anything, I love exchanging thoughts, stories, and perspectives with people who are open to deep, meaningful conversations.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Positive energy, meaningful conversations, and a genuine interest in connecting with people. I love exchanging stories and learning from the experiences of others. Whether it’s a deep talk about life and spirituality or just sharing laughter over a meal, I always bring a warm and open vibe.
1. Ican cook and bake! If you enjoy good food, I’d be happy to prepare something for you - maybe a dish from Romania, or just a delicious homemade dessert.
2. Stories & writing insights. As a writer, I capture moments, emotions, and experiences in my books. If you're curious about storytelling or publishing, I’d love to share my knowledge.
3. Organizing & cleaning skills. After running my own cleaning business for 11 years, I definitely know how to keep things neat. If you ever need a hand with organizing something, I’d be happy to help.
4. A traveler's perspective. Having traveled solo across Asia, I have plenty of crazy stories, insights, and tips about different cultures and places.
5. And, of course, my time, my energy, and my smile. Because sometimes, the best things we can share are the simplest ones. 😉
