À propos de moi
*** Zionists not welcome ***
Hey!
I love meeting people from different backgrounds and learning about all kinds of things. I'm into a mix of stuff like physics, philosophy, and the arts—whether it's theater, literature, or dance. I'm also pretty left-leaning politically and enjoy exchanging ideas and hearing other people's perspectives.
Although I adore Spain, where I was born, my curiosity drives me to explore and understand the vast world beyond my homeland. This journey helps me gradually dismantle my preconceptions, enriching my view of the global tapestry.
Currently, my work schedule is quite demanding, making it difficult for me to host as often as I'd like. Nonetheless, hosting is something I deeply enjoy and look forward to doing whenever possible. I love the experience of connecting with people from different cultures and backgrounds, building bridges of solidarity.
And just so you know, I'm not a bad cook either!
I look forward to many more enriching exchanges and the chance to learn from each other.
Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing is the best way of travelling, since it allows you to meet local people and travelers. Sharing experiences, talking, laughing... is the best way learn about a country or a culture (and make good friends!).
I've always found very kind people while couchsurfing, so I want to create more valuable memories.
When I travel I don't like to plan meticulously. Sure there are things I'd like to visit, but I prefer to adapt myself to the situation. So, if you suggest something, almost everything will seem a good idea to me!
Centres d'intérêt
Over the years, my interests have changed a lot. I used to be really into physics, but after spending years in research, I’ve started feeling a bit disconnected from it. Now, I’m much more drawn to the humanities and art, especially philosophy, political sciences and dance and theater. I’m curious about the arts in general and love exploring different forms of creative expression.
I’m finishing up my PhD in physics right now, but my long-term goal is to switch to teaching high school. I want to help guide teens through those important years.
I also stay active with hiking, sports, and cycling, and I love the simplicity of traveling light—just a pair of boots, a few books, and a notebook. When I travel, I try to dive into the local political and art scenes to really get a sense of the culture and what's going on. I know these things are complicated and not always clear-cut.
I try to engage with different cultures in a thoughtful way, staying aware of the risks of a colonial or Eurocentric mindset. I know I’ve still got work to do in this area, but I’m committed to learning and growing.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres
I’ve got a pretty wide range of music tastes, from classical to heavy metal. Some of my favorite artists are Tool, Gata Cattana, Baiuca, Nujabes, Agar Agar, and Pink Floyd. Their styles range from progressive rock to electronic and hip-hop, and I love how each has its own unique sound.
For classical music, I’m really into Tchaikovsky, Erik Satie, Rachmaninov, and Debussy. Lately, I’ve been getting into the minimalist vibes of Steve Reich and the dreamy sound of Arvo Pärt.
When it comes to books, I’m drawn to writers who make me see the world in new ways. I read mostly essay, and I love Nietzsche for his deep takes and his vitality, Foucault for his thoughts on power and knowledge. I also enjoy reading Eva Illouz, Frantz Fanon, and Karl Marx. Recently I'm reading a lot about XXth century African history, marxism and colonialism. For non non-fiction books, some of my favorites writers are Ursula K. Le Guin and Jorge Luis Borges.
Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue
I prefer to tell them myself :)
Enseignez, apprenez, partagez
I'm pretty open-minded and enjoy reflecting on things, and I really value having deep conversations. I love listening to people, getting to know what motivates them, what their goals are, and how they see the world. While I enjoy sharing ideas and learning from others, I’m also pretty independent and adaptable, so I definitely appreciate having some alone time, too.
I also really like cooking for others, swapping stories, talking about different perspectives, or playing board games. And if you're into languages, that's awesome! I’m fluent in Spanish, French, and English, and I’ve just started learning German and Italian, so I’d be excited to learn more and maybe even practice together. :)
Ce que j'aimerais partager avec mes hôtes
When I stay with hosts, I’m pretty easygoing and love getting to know the city like a local. If my hosts are up for it, I’d be excited to join them in exploring their favorite spots, especially ones that aren’t typical tourist stops. But I also get that everyone needs their own space, so no worries if you’re busy or just need a break—I’m totally independent too.
What I can bring to the table is good conversation and some cooking! I love sharing ideas and comparing worldviews, which is something I find really fulfilling. I always try to be respectful and tidy, and I’m happy to adapt to whatever the vibe of the place is. I’m truly thankful for any hospitality.
