关于我
Hi, I’m Miguel — a curious soul who works in retail and finds meaning in stories, people, and everyday beauty.
I’m currently based in Guangzhou, China, working in the retail industry. My role is to help bring better products to retailers and consumers — I like to think of it as making life just a bit more joyful and efficient for everyday people. I studied philosophy in university, and that continues to shape the way I think, live, and connect with the world around me.
Outside of work, I’m passionate about travel. I visit around 10–12 cities and 3–4 countries every year. For me, travel isn’t just about sightseeing — it’s about expanding my perspective, meeting people from different walks of life, and learning who I can be in different places.
I also love writing. I’ve been running my own public blog for years, where I’ve published over 100 articles and written more than 100,000 words annually. Writing helps me reflect on life, express emotions, and stay connected with what truly matters.
If you’d like to send me a couch request, please start your message with “Nihao” to show that you’ve read my profile.
One important note: I’m very particular about cleanliness, so using the washing machine is at home is not allowed. Thanks for understanding!

我可以与沙发主分享些什么
I’m always happy to share what I know — and more importantly, to have meaningful exchanges.
If you’re interested in retail or marketing, I can offer insights into the Chinese retail landscape, including consumer behavior, market trends, and some behind-the-scenes “secrets” of how products reach people.
I also love talking about Chinese culture — whether it’s language, food, festivals, or how young people in China are thinking about life, work, and identity in today’s fast-changing world. If you’re curious about Mandarin, I’d be glad to teach you some basics too.
Above all, I enjoy sharing stories — from my own life, my travels, and the people I’ve met along the way. I believe that storytelling helps us understand not just others, but ourselves as well.
