About Me

Sooo I’m Mihai, here in Romania I study Cinema, specializing in Cinematography and although i’ve been travelling more seriously, so to say:), for the last couple of years, just recently i’ve decided to take up couchsurfing, mainly because after some similar experiences that made me realize the whole new level of literally engaging with people by spending time with them. And you also get the whole city or travelling experience way more above the typical superficial touristy kind of travel. But yeah, i guess everybody here is here for the same reason, buuuuut yeah, i kinda wanna be that old person that knows so many people through the most random succession of events

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

having the fullest travelling experience

Music, Movies, and Books

music - Psychedelic rock, techno music from movie soundtracks, politically-themed music, periods of most random shit ranging from Bo Burnham to Die Antwoord (I know they're shit human beings, but their music just pumps me up)
films - a looooot i literally cannot name just a few, i’ll just give a glimpse of the directors whose works i really empathise with: Michael Haneke, Bong Joon-ho, Charlie Kaufman, Satoshi Kon, Nathan Fielder, Caveh Zahedi, Stanley Kubrick, Radu Jude and many more we can talk a real lot if u into this:)))
books - lately have been reading more non fic than fiction, but one of the most enjoyable and addicting reads was Pale Fire by Nabokov, also love the works of Vonnegut, Hesse, David Foster Wallace, Cărtărescu, Camus and as for non fiction I am mostly interested in different kinds of topics such as political theory, cinema, psychedelics, history, economics., but the most insightful writer could be Mark Fisher personally. I also read but very much more rarely theatre.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

hiked the last 150km of El Camino
biked over 550kms in the Netherlands over 5 days
walked all the country of Liechtenstein in a day
