Started studying mathematics for about two semesters and realized there must be more to life than finishing your degree, jumping into your job and staying there until your pension.
So I figured I want to take some time off and see if I'm right. My plan was to head to Australia for a year to do my working holiday visa but ended up staying for 2 years in that breathtakingly beautiful country. After my travels I thought maybe it's time to head back and finish my degree. I changed my subject from mathematics to nutrition and moved a couple of hundreds of kilometers away from my home town to focus on my studies and get it done with as quickly as possible so I can get back to travelling and work in this area during my journey. But things came differently. Seeing my family and friends after 2 years was amazing don't get me wrong but there were a couple of things that that striked me. In those 2 years nothing has changed with them. It seemed like they were stuck in time. I could see they got older of course but they did the same thing almost everyday I was gone. Ah yeah, there was one thing that changed of course. They had new cars, watches, phones, apartments, houses. So that's what they have been up to all the time, working to buy more things that would make them happy for a little while and then work even more to get new things as the older things don't satisfy them anymore or to pay the more expensive ones off. That's when it hit me. I need to leave! I don't want to be part of this. I need to keep travelling.
I sold everything I owned, tried to explain to my loved ones why I'm leaving (some of them got it, some just seemed not to be willing to understand ).
I contacted a dear friend of mine whom I met in Australia and who felt exactly the same way as I felt and we decided to travel through south-east Asia first and figure out what to do next.
